As Mama’s we are constantly singing the ABC’s with our littles but what about our own? Time for the fashion alphabet! Each week we’ll be bringing you chic solutions to help step up your playground style game.
A is for Animal Print
Now when I say animal print I am referring to one animal print, leopard print. Not zebra, not giraffe but the flatting timeless classic leopard print. If you are already a animal print expert and know that you can pull off other prints, good for you. But for those who don’t have a lot of prints start with leopard, repeat leopard, and then repeat it again.
Prints around the face can be overwhelming for a lot of people; the easiest way to wear a print is away from your face like on an accessory or shoe. This allows you to add a pop of print but ultimately stick with your core basics.
Animal Print Flats
Wouldn’t those boyfriend jeans and white v neck tank you are wearing to the playground all the sudden become a total moment if you had these sweet kicks?
Animal Print Slippers
What Mama doesn’t love slippers that you can wear out of the house? The simple touch of these slippers and some chunky arm candy all are it takes for this look to go from unforgettable to polished.
Animal Print with Neutrals
This spring is all about neutrals and soft blush and taupe. The black in the print is the perfect contrast to the muted tones throughout the rest of the look. These animal print shoes are comfortable enough to chase the kids around by day but add the gorgeous Chanel bag and a little lipstick and you’re ready to be off duty and hit up a winery or beer festival with your main squeeze.
Animal Print Clutches
The leopard print is loved by women everywhere because it goes really well with whites, tans and blacks. See how these three similar bags pair well with denim and tan, white and gold and then black.
Animal Print Stilettos
This is a wardrobe staple and total investment piece. Spending a little more on animal print stilettos is totally justified because if you pick the right style you will keep them in your closet forever. I seriously have a pair I got at Nordstrom Rack when I was 20 and with good maintenance and one fix of a broken heel, they are still my go to and the only pair of leopard stilettos in my closet. Every time I wear them someone comments that they are gorg. Try them with your go to little black dress and you’ll never want to go back to a basic black pump again.
